NY Renaissance Faire
Welcome to Barb's NY Ren Faire Photo Album
After trying to visit the NY Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY for years, in 1994 I finally had the opportunity to visit it for the first time. Well, I've been going back every year since, and usually multiple times per season! A fun day for people of all ages, it's a great place to enjoy a step back in time. There's a little something for everyone. Besides, who can resist jousting knights and a living chess game?
In 1998 I was approached by the NY Ren Faire to take pictures not just for myself, but for the faire. Needless to say, I was thrilled at the opportunity! Some of the photos I took during the 1998 season were used in the brochure, fliers, shire newspaper, and NY Ren Faire Press Kit in 1999.
Can't to see the Faire each year? Some of the performers from the NY Renaissance Faire belong to a group called The Crimson Pirates. Check out their website for a schedule of upcoming events, music, and even their CD!

1999 This year I ended up taking more pictures for the NYRF than myself. I had a unique opportunity to not only witness, but take pictures of a real marriage proposal during an episode of "Trial and Punishment"! |

1997 Page 1 - 12 Pictures Page 2 - 12 Pictures This year more and more of my friends joined me on my excursion to the NYRF. We had a great time following the tales of Robin Hood and seeing what dastardly schemes were being hatched in the kingdom! We also enjoyed seeing "The Flaming Idiots" (left) who put on a spectacular show. If you ever get the chance, DO see them! |

| 1996 I soon found that each year I had to go visit the faire twice. Things change from year to year, and there's no way to take it all in during one visit! There are 6 pictures uploaded. |

1995 "In the Heat of Battle" was one of the photos I submitted to the NYRF Photo Contest in 1995. Happily, it came in first place! One of my other photos (on the NYRF 1995 page) also came in third place. There are 6 pictures uploaded. |
